back to school days.

August 29, 2008

Unfortunately, summer is coming to a close and fast.  Meaning school is coming to a rushing start.  I am not a big fan of school starting.  Having to deal with all the work and all, it is just too much stress.  I am been slowly moving my clothes back into my apartment and I am not looking forward to what it means.  I guess all of this is caused by the fact that I actually had a full three months of summer.  Because I am usually ready for school.  Not that I like having to go to school, but rather I am okay with having to go back to school.  This summer has been good to me.  Some great memories were made and some good fun was had.  Thanks to all that took part in the memories and fun.  Can’t wait to do it again.

One thing I hate the most about school is figuring out again where the classes are and if you are in college having to petition a class you were on the wait list for.  Petitioning a class is such a pain.  You do not have a guarantee  to getting into the class.  I really hope I get into my class cause I wont know what to do if I do not.  I think I will cry and have a break down because this class is a prerequisite for  my major.  I need to take this class now if my plans of when to apply for the program is going to be followed. But from what it looks like its not going to well.  =/

Well enough of that.  Its stressing me out.  Lets have some fun.  Only four more days of summer, so lets make the most of it. =]

Gold Fever!!!

August 18, 2008

Michael Phelps did it.  He got his eight gold, making him one of the most decorated athlete.  The man is a machine.  I do not know how he does it.  Gold number seven, 100m butterfly, was a very close one.  I thought he got second, but he managed to beat Cavic from Serbia by one one hundredth of a second.  Thats just plan ridiculous.  I was so happy for him when he got the eighth and final gold medal of this Olympics.  Another jaw dropping race was the 4 x 200 m relay.  The unbelievable win Jason Lezak got over France’s Alain Bernard.  Man it was beautiful. I love the Olympics.  The Chinese teams are ridiculously crazy taking 35 golds for china.  How the heck is that possible. I am excited for the rest of the Olympics and what it has in store for the rest of the summer.

Congratulations MICHAEL PHELPS!!!

Opening Ceremonies

August 10, 2008

This year was maybe the first year I have ever missed the Opening Ceremonies for the Olympics.  I have heard it was quite the event.  Although I did not get to watch the entire Opening Ceremonies, I did catch the lighting of the Olympic Flame.  I thought it was good and cool with what they did, but for me nothing will beat the 1996 Summer Olympics in Atlanta.  This was when Mohammad Ali light the cauldron.  I will never forget that moment seeing him rise out of no where, a great man, a great athlete, who fought some of the toughest men, now fighting Parkinson’s Disease honorably lighting the cauldron.  I got chills watching the video.

I think my favorite part of the Olympics would be the Opening Ceremonies.  Good Luck USA.  Take home the gold.
