So I have been on summer break for a little over two weeks now. And most of what I have been doing is watching movies. Ever since I started my Netflix account thats what I end up doing most days. And I like it cause I am able to catch up on movies I didn’t get to watch. I think I am a little obsessed with it right now. I have been watching a lot of movies,  some of which are pretty good movies. Aside from watching movies at home I have also watched two really good movies out in theaters too. Up and Hangover. Both movies I recommend for people to watch. I also recommend Secret Life Of Bees, Into the Wild, and Smart People .

Hope you enjoy them as much as I did.

I am finally on spring break, but I have nothing to do. My much anticipated spring break is not filled which much.

I am watching Bolt right now.  Seems pretty good so far. Sorry for not posting the last couple days. I will be posting more this week.

So until then.

Kina Grannis, a very talent singer, covered the song “Flightless Bird, American Mouth” by Iron and Wine. This song speaks so much volumes and I already love this song as it is. Kina’s cover is just as good. She put a little of her own twist to it and I like it. She is a very talented artist and you should check out her other covers and originals.

For those of you who do not know this Iron and Wine version of the song was in the movie Twilight. Where it was placed for the movie was perfect. This song is so deep and touches my heart every time I hear it. I get this weird heart palpitation (I know I am weird, get over it. I warned you all before that I am). I don’t know how to explain it, but I guess this song just speaks to me. If you haven’t heard the original here it is. This is a live version of the song.

Enjoy life.

This weekend I purchased the Twilight DVD. I also watched most of the special features. I have not gotten to finish them all yet because I bought the Target version and been watchign it with my little sister. I found the specail features fun. I really liked them. I found many things funny. Like I watched the commentary of the movie and there was very interesting things said amoungst Kristen Stewart, Catherine Hardwicke, and Robert Pattinson. It was cool seeing the various extended scenes and deleted ones too.

This weekend I watched so much Twilight because I first watched it with my cousins and a few of my church buddies, then i watched it with my parents before I left for the week. So, this whole weekend has been all about Twilight for me. I must say though. It has gotten me excited again for New Moon. Also, to read the Twilight again and possibly the other books in the serious too.

If you haven’t seen or read either the movie or book give it a try you never know you might like it.

i_love_you_manAfter watching Adventureland, I caught the midnight showing of I Love You, Man with my boyfriend, J Diaz, and his roommates and their girlfriends. Two funny movies in one night. Two good movies in one night. This is a movie you all have to see. Jason Segel is freaking brillignt in this movie. I was laughing so hard in this movie too. Paul Rudd I think took it home with his awkwardness and the most random, never before heard sayings. It was just great. I liked how Jason Segel seemed to be a mister cool guy in the movie too. It was different from how he was in Forgetting Sarah Marshall.

So without saying anything that further divluges into the story, I will end right here. But please go watch it. Is worth the money to see it.

Have a great weekend.

I just got back from watch an advanced screening of Adventureland, and I must say that I like it. Of course, I reccommend it to you all. This movie was funny with still having a very serious tone to it. It is a good mixture of romance and comedy. Movie was set in the 80’s. The leading actors were very good. The lead male character, played by Jesse Eisenberg, had a very Michael Cera appeal to him, but do not get me wrong he played the role well. Kristen Stewart, who is best known for her role a Bella Swan of Twilight, was the leading lady in this movie and did somethings that I have not seen her do. Although I must admit there were times in the movie where I was seeing Twilight and not Adventureland.

I thought the other characters were well casted. From Kristen Wiig, Bill Hader, Martin Starr to Ryan Reynolds they all played their roles really well. Oh man, I could not get enough of Martin Starr almost every time he was on screen he just did something to make me laugh.  Before I go off and start telling you the whole story and ruin it all and over hype it,  I am going to stop now.

Go out and watch it on April 3.

March 14, 2009

Yesterday at bible study, we began watching a little bit of the movie 10,000 BC and it intrigued us, so we continued to watch while some of us waited for the rest of our fellow bible study buddies to come. So, as we watched the movie I noticed an actress. I could not quite my finger on her right away, but as i continued to watch it I realized she looked an awful like Camilla Belle, but I was not sure. It bothered me for a while that I wasn’t sure who she was. Maybe I couldn’t be sure it was her because of the color change in her eyes. It plauged me and I was constantly debating with myself if it was her. So today, I checked out the cast listing of the movie and I was right. I am rather proud/happy–call it what you may– of myself (I know I am weird, get over it). But all in all I want to watch this movie. It was rather interesting.

During our bible study, this questions was posed, who gets into heaven? That thought that may be in many or some of our minds. And yesterday I was given an answer to who is getting into heaven. Of course it is those of us who believe in God and accept him wholeheartedly, but what about those who don’t. Many of us may have people who do not believe in God that we care about. And its a rather scary thought that they may not be with us in the afterlife. The whole notion who gets in to heaven, and what is heaven is like is a crazy concept because no one is 100% certain until they reach that point. I know I question if I myself is getting into heaven, that all I have done on this world is going to be enough to pass the judgment that I will face. But all I can do is believe in God, follow his word and head to his will. It is a hard thing to do, but I try to do it everyday.

Hmm..yeah I know weird this started off kinda lighthearted then turned serious, but oh well.

God Bless and I agape you all. (don’t know what agape is look it up). =]
