Saw this video and thought it was very strange. What are your takes on it? I guess I can see the correlation to the song and video but yeah. It kind of tripped me out. Oh well, its art.

flightless birds.

March 25, 2009

Kina Grannis, a very talent singer, covered the song “Flightless Bird, American Mouth” by Iron and Wine. This song speaks so much volumes and I already love this song as it is. Kina’s cover is just as good. She put a little of her own twist to it and I like it. She is a very talented artist and you should check out her other covers and originals.

For those of you who do not know this Iron and Wine version of the song was in the movie Twilight. Where it was placed for the movie was perfect. This song is so deep and touches my heart every time I hear it. I get this weird heart palpitation (I know I am weird, get over it. I warned you all before that I am). I don’t know how to explain it, but I guess this song just speaks to me. If you haven’t heard the original here it is. This is a live version of the song.

Enjoy life.

needed breaks.

March 17, 2009

So, I know I have not blogged in the last few days and I apologize. But it has come to a time of year in my life that I just need a break and this needed break is from school. I cannot wait until school is over for the summer. Granted, I may not have a school free summer being that I am thinking of going to summer school. But I need it to get done with school faster. So, I have to make a scarifice to suck it up and go to summer school, so I can finally get done with school.

On a more happier note, I really, really, really like the song “Love Story” by Taylor Swift. Its not that I just heard the song and have been living on under a rock. On the contrary, I heard it a while back and it was playing in the back ground as I decided to blog. So, Its was in my head and i thought to myself how I really like this song. I know I am rambling and half if not more of what I am saying probably does not make any sense. But oh well. The song is really catchy and make you just want to sing along. I know that is what I end up doing when I hear it.

Apologies for the randomness and ramblings.

top 13 happiness.

March 10, 2009

I was watching American Idol tonight. And I cannot believe the talent these contestants have this season. I usually have a favorite after watching, but this season I do not have one. They are all very good, very worthy people. I do not think this has ever happened to me. I am quite surprised by all of the contestants because there are usually a few people who obviously do not have everything it takes to be the next American Idol, but I didn’t see that this season. To be a judge this season must be crazy because of all the talent and potiential stars.

On to other things, I have been reading a book called Happiness is a Serious Problem. It is rather interesting. The author, Dennis Prager, claims that we are our own enemy in acheiving happiness. I can totally see this because we are often unhappy with our lives whether or not it is something we can or cannot control (this is something Prager asserts).  This book is rather enlightening, of course you do not have to believe a word he is saying, but it is a interesting thing to think about. Oh, by the way I am only reading this book because of a class I am taking because this type of book is not something I would usually pick up on my own. But nevertheless, it is an interesting book and may help gain a different perspective about things in our lives.

Wooohooo, post # 2, hopefully I can keep ’em coming.

I saw something ridiculously amazing last night on Jimmy Kimmel during his like monologue.  He was making fun of the video above.  Since, the one I saw was not the real one I searched for the real video. This women is amazing. She took her disablitiy and threw it out the window and not let it affect her. She is a true inspiration. I have all my fingers and I can even come close to playing the piano as beautiful as she does.  Hee-ah Lee has only four fingers and she can play te piano like I have never seen. It is just amazing what determination can do.

Seeing her brings a new perspective to my life. I should not let my pety obstacle stand in the way of what I want to do.
