weirdness.

Saw this video and thought it was very strange. What are your takes on it? I guess I can see the correlation to the song and video but yeah. It kind of tripped me out. Oh well, its art.

top 13 happiness.

March 10, 2009

I was watching American Idol tonight. And I cannot believe the talent these contestants have this season. I usually have a favorite after watching, but this season I do not have one. They are all very good, very worthy people. I do not think this has ever happened to me. I am quite surprised by all of the contestants because there are usually a few people who obviously do not have everything it takes to be the next American Idol, but I didn’t see that this season. To be a judge this season must be crazy because of all the talent and potiential stars.

On to other things, I have been reading a book called Happiness is a Serious Problem. It is rather interesting. The author, Dennis Prager, claims that we are our own enemy in acheiving happiness. I can totally see this because we are often unhappy with our lives whether or not it is something we can or cannot control (this is something Prager asserts).  This book is rather enlightening, of course you do not have to believe a word he is saying, but it is a interesting thing to think about. Oh, by the way I am only reading this book because of a class I am taking because this type of book is not something I would usually pick up on my own. But nevertheless, it is an interesting book and may help gain a different perspective about things in our lives.

Wooohooo, post # 2, hopefully I can keep ’em coming.

racism and ignorance.

October 16, 2008

I have never been so upset in my life. After seeing this video I was truly outraged. I think McCain should not allow this to happen. He needs to educate his constituents.  Because as you can see in this video that some of them are racist, ignorant people.  I have never myself experienced racism, maybe because I live in an area that has evolved from it all, but I did not think that so many still people felt that way.  It is somewhat understandable for some older people feeling that way, but there are young people who feel the same way. It is ridiculous.  There are many statements that made me want to throw my computer out the window.

These people continue to claim that they are scared of what an Obama Presidency means and now I am too.  But not for the same reason as some of the people in Ohio. I am afraid that some people are going to fear what he brings for our country and are going to do something stupid.  Something needs to be done. Most likely the McCain campaign will do nothing cause it does not hurt him that these people feel this way.  And that is just wrong.  Why would anyone person allow this to happen? They need to understand that the rumors that have been going around trying to connect Obama to various people like terrorist is just outrageous.

All the negative campaigns have created an even bigger ignorance. On top of that our media many times does not provide enough information. I am not trying to point fingers here, but someone has to do something before this fear turns into something distructive.

New Seasons.

September 11, 2008

So the new season of Grey’s Anatomy is coming in about two weeks from today.  I really can’t wait.  It looks like its going to be a good one.  If you haven’t seen it here it is.  I was a bit shocked after seeing it.

There are so many shows starting up again that I will not be able to keep up with all of them.  I am going to get overwhelmed by the many shows that I take interest in.  Maybe I should cut back in the amount of tv I watch, but I can’t really help it.  Good thing some shows are available on the internet, so hopefully I will be able to watch everything I want to.

New Shows.

September 9, 2008

This season there is a vast array of new up and coming shows.  Just caught the new JJ Abrams show called Fringe.  This show has a very LOST feel to it. The opening scene started like LOST with an airplane experiencing turbulence. They have one of the LOST characters Matthew Abaddon playing one of the main characters Phillip Broyles.  Even down to some of the score to the show sounded like something you would hear while watching lost. It is a very good show very interesting. Its about the government trying to figure out who is behind these set of patterns of events that have been happening.  Another show I caught today was called “Hole in the Wall” which was taken from the Japanese show. Its hilarious. Its hosted by Brooke Burns and Mark Thompson.  But nothing can beat the Japanese version.

I think I watch too much tv, but oh well whatever keeps me sane, right?

lies.

September 6, 2008

Okay, I may have lied to you all about the highlight of my week.  I apologize.  It was just all the stress I was having the first few days of school, trying to get into my classes. =/ So getting a shout out just stood out more than the other things that brought joy to my life (besides the great boyfriend J Diaz).

So the season premier of Gossip Girl, One Tree Hill and America’s Next Top Model I must say were up to par.  Let’s start with Gossip Girl. The possibility of Dan and Serena getting back together. I just love it. Nate being in an affair, YIKES!!!!  Blair and Chuck I am not a big fan of them getting together but the tension and drama of it all very entertaining. I feel like this season is going to be good.

I am so happy it was Peyton that Lucas called.  I mean I knew that it would be her, but for it to finally be confirmed was good.  I was so happy that I screamed when it was her. I feel so bad for Brooke though.  Man her mom just sucks. And to top it all of she gets beaten up.  Nathan and Haley look happy.  Sucks for Dan, Crazy Carrie has him locked up.

America’s Next Top Model was typical Tyra Banks, out there.  I have my favorites all ready.  Looks like it will be a interesting season well most of them are.

Cannot wait until all of my shows come back.
